            Temporary crowns protect during the transition from tooth

                 preparation to permanent restoration.  They provide esthetics,

                 minimize pain, maintain teeth position, hold gingival tissues

                 in position and allow health, function and esthetics.  Often, they

                are referred to as provisional restorations for that reason.
